Shot on a Contax T3 with Kodak Trix400 Film Pushed +2 Stops. Dora’s first “Screamo” show ever. She probably loved it. Or didn’t. But i LOVE her for always being the best supportive partner when I want to punch the air in the middle of a bunch of sweaty dudes also punching invisible demons. The first time I saw Underoath was on November 8, 2005 in Myrtle Beach South Carolina at the House of Blues….some 17 years ago.

this picture just hits so deep in my heart and captures that feeling of serendipity (i probably misused this but yolo) and bittersweetness of this home we have built together (nimmy does not like pics usually) that we are soon moving on from

love this porter song. thinking of the family. also thinking of this deep conversation dora and i had about perfectionism. also thinking about how bruce lee says the greatest skill a warrior can have is the ability to remain calm in any situation. what a superpower. super underrated. the world wants us to be not in control to control us, but remaining calm means remaining focused. how ingenious? how ….right? calmness means less stress too, the x-factor for making or breaking your life. anyways, back to the dora conversation, we talked a lot about freedom and continuous improvement but later we mentioned perfectionism. perfectionism is such a gift and a curse. the more i think about it, it sometimes reminds me of the warrior references bruce lee mentioned. it would sound like this in my mind: when the warrior pushes herself/himself to be in the best mind, body, and soul health - the warrior can harness perfectionism by being able to accept all their actions as the best of themselves (perfect).
food for thought for sure. more to ponder and more for me to absorb. life is beautiful. remember how beautiful.

Accidentally Opened the Camera without Rolling the Film....

AND lost a very sentimental camera lens filter i had custom repainted in Japan. So there is some random light leaks all over (looks super cool tbh) and i lost a handful of frames at the end. I was literally so baffled and tired as i stared at my open camera wondering why the film would not come out before realizing the film was still unwinded hahahah…..in a bright ass living room too. Oopsie!
